Long-Time Professor Dr. Annette Hiedemann Passes Away

Dr. Annette R. Hiedemann, professor of psychology emerita, passed away on Sunday, February 7.  She served West Virginia Wesleyan College between 1968 and 1994. 

Born April 16, 1936 in Cologne, Germany, Dr. Hiedemann received her bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1958 and her Ph.D. in psychology from Leopold Franzens Universität in Innsbruck, Austria in 1964.  Upon graduation, Dr. Hiedemann was employed as an assistant professor at St. Lawrence University from 1964-1966 and at Georgia Southwestern University from 1966-1968. 

She was a member of the Greybeard Club, Emeritus Club, and the Bridge Club.  Friends were received Saturday, February 13 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon.  A funeral service was held directly following the visitation, and burial followed in Buckhannon Memorial Park.
