Musical Group to Join the Planetarium Presentation at WVWC

On Saturday, June 3 from 8-9 pm, the Planetarium at West Virginia Wesleyan College will feature a live musical performance from the group Key to Adam as part of the regularly-scheduled show.  Key to Adam is comprised of local Upshur county artists Adam Moyer on guitar and Kiara Williams on violin.  They will perform under the planetarium sky as Professor Tracey DeLaney, planetarium director, tells the story of the largest constellation in the sky -- Hydra, the water snake.

“This is an exciting partnership between the planetarium and the musical artists, and we plan to partner for several more shows,” said Dr. Delaney.  “This gives us an opportunity to let the community know that regular planetarium shows continue through the summer, on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.”

The feature video for the show on June 3 will be Hidden Havens: Icy Moons, and telescope observing will follow the show if the weather permits.  Free astronomy posters will be given to children under 18.  Due to limited seating in the planetarium, guests are asked to RSVP to or 304-473-8330.

The cost to attend a planetarium show is $3 for adults, $2 for students and those over 60, and free for children under 18 when accompanied by an adult.  Doors open half an hour before the show at 7:30 pm.  More information on the musical group Key to Adam can be found at, and more information on the planetarium can be found at
