BOBCAT MARCHING BAND
After an absence of over 35 years, it’s time to strike a groove with the newly formed Bobcat Marching Band! Their first season begins Fall 2014 under the direction of Logan Lindsey as a co-curricular activity for students at the College.
All interested students will get an experience unlike any other Collegiate or High School program and will also not interfere with the ability for you to succeed in your classes and other student organizations. Please feel free to join our Facebook group “WV Wesleyan Bobcat Marching Band” for all current updates!
The Bobcat Band will include a full drumline, color guard, and pit/members for those interested.
DRUMLINE
The first recognizable sound of a band is in the drumline! We are starting out be purchasing a full custom Dynasty line with a customized shell completely unique to West Virginia Wesleyan. No one has more fun than the percussionists in a band and it will be no different here. Our drumline will create countless traditions and get to premier our school’s brand new cadence and really create the core sound of the band. Our marching battery will include snares, quints, basses, and cymbals! We will have a highly qualified instructor to help you through camp but student leadership will be key in starting a feel of drum family and creating the tradition of sound in the drumline for the Bobcat Band.
COLOR GUARD
We will be adding guard starting off with the band. No experience is needed to join because you can join and still be proud to be part of this group! Students with experience will likely get to be the student leaders which are key to success but we will have an instructor to teach everyone the choreography during band camp.
