SPACE Day April 1, 2017
Everyone in Upshur County (and beyond) is invited to come to Rockefeller Gym for this event. The program will feature a paper airplane contest for students K-12. Dr. Zinzer's students are planning a cryptography contest. Our SPOT students will make science presentations.  Follow this link to the 2017 SPACE day page.
SPACE Day October 11, 2014
Space Day was organized by the SPACE Club with support from the NASA-WV Space Grant Consortium. The program featured activities for students K-12 as well as college students. In the photo, Space Club members are registering participants from the community. 

WVU Assistant Professor of Engineering Dr. Robin Hensel greets participants with a presentation on trends in engineering. 

College students from all around West Virginia are giving poster presentations of their NASA research.

Science exhibits included a planetarium show, catapults, and a demonstration of ziplines. 

Dr. Steven Hard from NASA IV&V gave a luncheon presentation. 

The bottle rocket and paper airplane contests were held in the afternoon.

Andrew Tiffin is giving a talk on his picosatellite project.

SPACE Club member John Bair is using a tesla coil to light a fluorescent lamp.
