ABOUT US:
Robert E. Lee was the president at Washington College (now Washington and Lee University) from 1865 to 1870. In his time there, he instilled the ideals of being a Christian and a gentlemen to all of his students. Four of them went on to pursue those values in a Greek society, the Kappa Alpha Order. The Beta Chi chapter began not long after Greek Life was founded on the West Virginia Wesleyan College campus. Located at 90 College Ave., the house follows suit with its Southern roots and in a beautiful, Victorian style home. Kappa Alpha Order takes pride in having one of the highest GPA's and the lowest insurance liability among any other Greek organization nationwide. Priorities for KA remain in assisting the community and our philanthropy, Muscular Dystrophy Association. In the words of Lee, "We have but one rule here, and it is that every student must be a gentleman."
