WELCOME TO GREEK LIFE AT WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
West Virginia Wesleyan College has had a long, rich relationship with fraternities and sororities. As an important component of the co-curricular programs for undergraduate students, Greek chapters have supported the central mission of the College by providing an out-of-class living/learning experience focused on academic integration, leadership development, civic engagement, and character/values congruency.  Fraternal organizations have existed on Wesleyan campus since 1925. 

The College has five national fraternities:  Alpha Sigma Phi, Chi Phi, Kappa Alpha Order, Theta Chi, and Theta Xi.  Wesleyan also has four national sororities:  Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Xi Delta, and Zeta Tau Alpha.

Approximately one-third of Wesleyan students are members of a Greek organization.  Our Membership actively participates in a variety of on and off campus organizations.  The Office of Greek Life produces an academic report every semester tracking trends and holding each Greek organization accountable to the minimum requirements to remain in good standing with the college. Since the inception of the new GPA requirements, the “all Greek average” has exceeded the “all College average” every semester since 2001.  Fraternities and sororities also stress giving back to our community in the form of service projects both on campus and in the community, and include a combined total of over 10,000 hours donated annually.
